“The first thing you have to do is think about the wallpaper,” said Mark Goss, director of wallpaper research at iFixit, the company that makes iFixIt software for PCs.
“It’s the way we look at the device, and it’s really important to look at wallpaper that people love.
And I think the wallpaper we’re seeing is probably the most beautiful, and I think you’ll see a lot of people who are using the wallpaper are really excited about it.”
Goss said the wallpaper industry’s biggest challenge right now is making sure everyone gets a great wallpaper.
“In general, you want people to use the wallpaper that they want to, and they want their wallpaper to be very well-designed and really good quality,” he said.
“But there are some things you have no control over, and that is whether you can make the wallpaper work with the device.
If you can’t do that, the wallpaper is going to have a really bad effect.”
While the most popular wallpaper choices will likely be in the $20-$30 range, Goss also noted that there are a lot more affordable options, which may be good news for people looking to upgrade to a new phone or tablet.
“I think the trend right now has been to do a lot cheaper, more mainstream, more ‘regular’ wallpapers,” Goss said.
